Traffic in Mont-Tremblant

Les Amis commissioned Planitrans, a firm specializing in mobility and project management. Their report highlights the significant impact of the resort’s rapid development on our transportation infrastructure. The report emphasizes that this growth, combined with the diversification of tourism activities, requires strategic intervention to manage and improve the mobility of residents, workers, and visitors.

Following the initial conclusions of the Planitrans technical report, we sent a letter on May 5 to elected officials, strongly recommending that the Ville de Mont-Tremblant mandate a firm of external experts to conduct an in-depth study of the challenges and possible solutions regarding road mobility within our municipality.

We are pleased to announce that at the municipal council meeting on May 12, the Ville hired Coop Carbone for a “support contract for the development and implementation of a sustainable mobility master plan for the Ville for a maximum amount of $115,000.”

Deputy Mayor Dominique Laverdure also thanked Les Amis. We will continue to keep you updated as we learn more about the mandate and the schedule for publication to citizens.
