At the last Municipal Council meeting, it was announced that the Ville would no longer proceed with the developers’ request to build 12 units on a street zoned solely for single-family homes.
Les Amis welcome and applaud this decision for the residents of rue de la Colline. We are grateful to the property owners in the RA-457 zone, who ensured that the Ville was fully aware of the negative impact that a precedent-setting zoning change would have had on our community.
Our point of view: The Ville should no longer consider using Bill 31 to change zoning anywhere in Mont-Tremblant, from single-family homes (H-1) to multi-family dwellings (H-4).
Large vacant lots in Mont-Tremblant are already zoned for multi-family housing; in the future, these lots should be used as a priority rather than disrupting neighbourhoods currently occupied by single-family homes.
