Managing monster traffic jams during the Festival of Colours

In response to our concerns on August 8 regarding traffic and safety, the Ville has announced new measures for the Festival of Colours.

Here is an overview of the measures planned for September 27-28, October 4-5, and October 11-13:

Public transportation: Service will be increased by 75 hours with additional buses and departures. The service remains free.

Parking and shuttle: An additional 1,000 parking spaces will be available on the North Side with a direct shuttle to the Station.

Traffic: The Ville is planning enhanced signage and supervision by flaggers at strategic intersections to ease traffic flow.

Security: The Sûreté du Québec will have an increased presence throughout the territory. The parking ban on Chemin Duplessis will also be reinforced to ensure security.

We will continue to monitor the situation and ensure that residents’ concerns are addressed.
