Bell Mobility has issued a public notice regarding the proposed construction of a new 65-metre-high telecommunications (cell) tower. It would be located near rue Matte, approximately 645 metres west of Montée Ryan. The deadline for submitting comments on this project is December 13.
Our Board of Directors met with representatives from Bell Mobility to discuss this project in detail. Although no solution is perfect, we believe this proposed new structure will better meet the needs of our community. Not only is it 17 metres shorter than the version initially presented in 2021, but its location is also more appropriate. The main advantage of this project is that it will eliminate many mobile phone dead zones, allowing Mont-Tremblant residents and visitors to contact emergency services at any time. This is a critical safety issue.
