Official Submission: Our plan for the future of Mont-Tremblant

At a glance: On June 26, Les Amis officially submitted our brief and the DKA technical study to the Ville as part of the comprehensive overhaul of urban planning regulations.

Why it matters: This overhaul will dictate development and conservation on our territory for the next decade. Binding regulations must prioritize our quality of life.

Our key requests:

End financial loopholes: Eliminate zoning mechanisms that allow for the weakening of ecological standards in exchange for financial contributions.

Protect all vulnerable lakes: Apply the strictest shoreline density cap everywhere, not just to five selected lakes.

Enforce the law and stop compromising: Impose maximum penalties on developers to put an end to precedents set by projects lacking social acceptability, such as LAGO, Pinacle, Manitonga, Château Morritt, Indigo, and 150 chemin Desmarais.

Make traffic studies mandatory: Require developers to produce studies that undergo independent validation before any major project is approved.

Demand total voting transparency: Force the municipal council to explicitly justify any decision that overturns a recommendation from the Comité consultatif d’urbanisme (CCU).
