Item 8.5 on the agenda concerned the overhaul of urban planning bylaws. Although the projects were tabled, the vote was not unanimous: Councilors Mathieu Paquette and Patrick Léonard registered their dissent.
The debate: Councilor Jean-Luc Trahan emphasized the importance of adopting the overhaul this year. In contrast, Councilor Léonard believes the rigour of the process must be prioritized over rushing to meet a deadline.
