Mont-Tremblant, December 18, 2025

Municipal council summary

Three members of our board of directors attended the municipal council meeting held on December 15.

Our president, Robert Boisjoli, asked about the proposed housing cooperative project in the Old Village to address the need for affordable housing. The public consultation, initially scheduled for August 2025 and then postponed, will finally take place in February 2026 (date to be confirmed). Given that this project involves large publics funds, we believe that citizens must be fully informed of the costs to each taxpayer before a final decision is made. The land purchased by the Ville in recent years was intended to secure key sites to guide the revitalization of the Old Village.

Danièle Ayotte, a member of Les Amis’ Board of Directors, submitted four key requests for the January 2026 budget, reflecting our organization’s focus on sustainable local development:

V
(i) funding to finalize the Plan d’Urbanisme;
V
(ii) funding for a comprehensive Housing Study to better understand the challenges of affordable housing;
V

(iii) funding for a thorough traffic and flow study;

V
(iv) funding for Mapping (the spatial and visual representation of density distribution).
Mayor Pascal De Bellefeuille acknowledged these priorities, and further details regarding the status and allocation of these requests will be communicated next month.

Several residents expressed concerns about the health effects of Bell Mobility’s proposed 5G cell tower near the montée Ryan. According to the World Health Organization: “To date, and after much research performed, no adverse health effect has been causally linked with exposure to wireless technologies.”
