Mont-Tremblant, November 25, 2025

Summary: first meeting of the new municipal council

Two members of our board of directors, Manon Millette and Danièle Ayotte, represented Les Amis at the municipal council meeting on November 24th:

Both agendas for the meeting are available here: municipal council and agglomeration.

Mayor Pascal De Bellefeuille introduced the new members of the municipal council, inviting citizens to consider the city hall as their home.

Councillor Catherine Drouin has been appointed deputy mayor; if she is unable to act, Councillor Mathieu Paquette will step in as substitute mayor.

We asked that the concepts of real, potential, or apparent conflict of interest be included in the upcoming revision of the code of ethics for elected officials. The greffière, Claudine Fréchette, indicated that the Ville would file a notice of motion in January 2026 and that the adoption would take place in February 2026.

The mayor confirmed that the urban planning review process would continue. However, he acknowledged that it could take an extra two or three months to appoint the new elected officials to the special committee and ensure all new councillors are well informed of the work already completed.

Image Plan Study: The Ville rejected a major 184-unit housing development on Route 117, between Starbucks and Chemin Vaillancourt, due to concerns about density and traffic.
