Les Amis sent a letter to the Ville, Station Mont Tremblant and the Sûreté du Québec regarding traffic management during the Festival of Colors this fall. It is essential that traffic management is significantly improved to avoid a repeat of the problems of recent years. An effective action plan is expected to ensure the satisfaction and safety of citizens.
We believe that cooperation between the three parties will help reduce traffic congestion on key weekends, which can improve emergency response times. Our letter offers five suggestions to provide a safer and more enjoyable experience for residents and visitors:
-
- Optimization of traffic flow;
- Park-and-ride facilities and shuttles;
- Real-time communication;
- Increased police presence and signage;
- Proactive information campaign.
Robert Boisjoli, a member of our board of directors, mentioned the letter we wrote at the recent municipal council meeting; Mayor Luc Brisebois confirmed that he has read our communication and will get back to us.
